Here is an actual real time photo of today's Mt. Redoubt eruption this afternoon. It goes off every few hours these past couple of days. So far, we've been lucky enough not to worry about any ash fall, only the small inconveniences of having to deal with the eruptions every day. This picture and the one below were taking at the same place, you can see how hazy this picture is from all the recent ash fall.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

She FINALLY erupted...
Kyle and I were in bed on Sunday night, the phone rings, wondering who was calling so late, usually it's Kyle's work calling for something or other, but tonight it was his work calling to tell us that Mt. Redoubt had blown an ash cloud. It had three eruptions prior to the ash cloud erupting. Kyle and I were supposed to go skiing tomorrow, but I guess we'll stay indoors and play with the kids. I guess we can add this to our list of things we've lived through (hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, volcanic eruptions).

I think Aubrey is ready....
Today, Aubrey was playing dress up, what she put on was no surprise to us, but I think it gives insight into what are kids really want to be doing...

962nd AACS night with the Aces
Kyle's squadron, the 962nd, had a family night out with the Alaska Aces hockey. We took the kids, Luke is very enthusiastic with any sporting event, he gets so involved in the moment! He loves to cheer on the team!

Snow Day
Here are some pictures of Luke playing in the snow on a 'warm' day here in Alaska. We are trying to cherish these last few snow moments with the kids since we know we are moving to warmer weather and there won't be 8 months of snow to enjoy!

Iditarod 2009
Here are few pictures of us all at our last Ceremonial Start of the Iditarod in Anchorage held this past Saturday. Luke and Aubrey loved watching the sled dogs run by.
